오랜만에 팝송-Boston - More than a feeling

전 세계가 코로나 바이러스 때문에 꿀꿀하다.

하여 오래된 롹 한 곡 들으시면서 기분 전환 하시라고... 

 

롹밴드 Boston에 대하여는 내가 아는 것보다 위키백과의 설명이 더 나으므로 그 쪽을 참조하였음.

 

보스턴(Boston)은 1976년 결성된 미국의 록 밴드이다.

MIT를 졸업하고폴라로이드의 연구원으로 활동하던 톰 숄츠가 중심이 되어 결성되어 데뷔 앨범 《Boston》을 공개했고, 그 해에 1000만 장 이상의 판매고를 기록하며 빌보드 앨범차트 3위에 올랐다. 특히 〈More Than A Feeling〉은 빌보드 싱글차트 5위에 오르는 성과를 거두었다.

데뷔 앨범으로 세계적인 명성을 얻은 보스턴은 환상적인 우주를 시원하게 표현하는 구성과 그에 걸맞은 음향으로 이른바 '보스턴 사운드'를 확립했다.

예상 밖의 히트로 보스턴은 두 번째 앨범에 심혈을 기울여 1978년에 《Don't Look Back》을 공개하였다. 수록곡 중에서 〈Don't Look Back〉, 〈A Man I'll Never Be〉 등이 호평을 받았으며, 빌보드 앨범차트 1위를 차지하며 미국에서 300만 장의 판매고를 올렸다.(이상 위키백과 참조)

 

유투브에서 몇 개의 영상을 보았으나 Vovo 쪽은 영상이 희미하고 1979년 Giant statium에서 공연한 영상은 흑백인데다가 무려(?) 11분 짜리.

밑의 영상도 썩 좋다고는 할 수 없으나 그나마 실황 공연이라 쓸만함.

 

기타 리프(Guitar Riff)가 표절이니 어쩌니 하는 그런 말들도 있지만

경쾌한 리듬에  맞춰- 가사는 옛 애인을 추억하는 그런 것- 몸을 흔들어 보시라.
